A Venue with a Rain Plan.. that you won’t actually dread

No one wants to think about the dreaded forecast that says rain or wind when they’re planning their outdoor wedding. And if you are getting married on the cusp of summer or late fall in New England, its most definitely a possibility. So when you are on your search in the North Shore and Boston area make sure you find a place that you like the rain plan.

THE REALITY

Let’s be honest not every Wedding Venue has the best back up plans for if it rains on your big day. Some venue’s interior are mediocre or just underwhelming and something you really hope you don’t have to implement come day of. Not to worry because I found the venue that has it all. Feast your eyes on Tuppor Manor.

TUPPOR MANNOR

This past Memorial Day weekend I shot a wedding on Boston’s North Shore that was absolutely stunning. Tuppor Manor located in Beverly Farms is a beautiful ocean front historic Georgian Mansion. Its gorgeous grounds are perfect for anyone who wants an outdoor ceremony on a sprawling lawn under neath a stunning and monumental water fountain.

The whole week leading up to the wedding the forecast said rain almost everyday. The plan was to make the call last minute to have the ceremony indoors. Unlike other venues this wouldn’t have been to big of a disappointment. Inside Tupper Manor its giving elegance meets editorial shoot. The interior is all about timeless luxury—think high ceilings, sparkling chandeliers, sweeping staircases, and polished hardwood floors that feel straight out of a Bridgerton episode. The main rooms are flooded with natural light thanks to massive windows, making everything feel airy and romantic.

ERICA & JOSH

For Erica & Josh the weather held off both for photos and for the ceremony. No wind and no rain, it was perfection. After the ceremony guests were escorted back into the mansion into the ball room for cocktail hour followed by dinner in the conservatory. As you can see from the gallery there is no shortage of details inside Tuppor Manor. Even if it poured out there would be no shortage of places to do their photos.

BOTTOM LINE

So if you’re thinking of a April/May Wedding, or even a October/November Wedding don’t sleep on Tuppor Manor. Its about a 50 minute drive from Boston, offers room for about 190 guests and has a 91 rooms of onsite accommodations for your traveling guests. If you are a couple with a eye for architecture and interior design this is a must see.

Happy Plannning!
